Combat Engineers

During the arms build-up, the UEC realized that it would need power-assisted engineers to carry around their kits, which had simply exploded in size as they got more and more non-frontline duties assigned to them.

Which resulted in OWS making powered armor specifically for engineers.

A Summary of WW3

A Summary of World War Three

On January 4th, 2034, the IPC Council Hall was literally razed to the ground by a 5-ton car bomb. In the aftermath of the attack, the IPC blamed both the IOR and the NAU for the attacks on their political leaders, citing a plan to eliminate Asia's leadership and step in, occupying and taking over IPC territory. Of course, the IOR and the NAU denied that they participated in these activities, and in anger, the IPC declared war by launching a massive offensive on two fronts, invading Siberia with four armies, and putting Marines on Guam and ordinance-carrying freighters bound for Vladivostok and San Diego on the bottom of the sea-- all on day one. World War Three begins in the Pacific theater, January 6th, 2034.

Orion-class

The Human Alliance wanted to see results in space, fast. Therefore, HASF dug out every single file on Project: Orion and NASA's External Pulse Plasma Propulsion-- a viable, powerful, yet insane form of space propulsion. And then gave a team of one hundred top-notch engineers and physicists to get a 10,000 ton ship in space within ten years.

That was back in 2038. Now, the Human Alliance fields six of these massive spacecraft.

B-29B Super Lightning

Yea, though I fly through the Valley of the Shadow of Death I will fear no evil; for I am at 80,000 feet and climbing.

M150 Danilov

The Second Heavy Armor was one of the best-trained and well-equipped armored divisions in the Global Defense Initiative. It consisted of six regiments, each of which consisted of six battalions. Two of the battalions were support, two were mixtures of mechanized infantry and armor, and the remaining two were full armor battalions. Each full armor battalion had six companies: three of mixed Predator MBTs, Pitbulls, Slingshots, and Shatter SBTs, and three more consisting of Mammoth-27 HBTs. Each Mammoth company had thirty of the HBTs. Regimental command sections had another forty, twenty under the regimental commander and twenty under the regiment commander's second.

The arithmetic was quite simple. The GDI Second Heavy Armor Division fielded…

HMCP IV1

To ease up on logistics problems, HASF decided to use a universal medium chassis to mount its IFV, Tank, Artillery, Anti-Air and Urban Combat Support. The universal chassis had to be able to be transported by a TH-76 Halo, a heavy tilt-rotor helicopter capable of lifting 40 tons- internally. And to be able to be transported internally, it had to be smaller than 11 meters by 3.75 meters by 3.5 meters. The HMCP chassis itself is 5.5 meters long, 3.6 meters wide and 1.5 meters tall. Squat?

The First Generation of the High Mobility Combat Platform started off in its first variant as an Infantry Fighting Vehicle. HASF mounted a tried-and-tested Advanced Ordinance Singapore 40mm 4-barrel “short” Gatling gun onto the vehicle, and it still had room…

M48

HASF came out with the MAWS A-37 Anti-Tank Gun in 2048. It was just like an ATG of World War Two- towed or man-powered, with a thin small-arms proof shield and a very small profile that allowed it to hide in tiny spaces tank couldn't hope to squeeze into. Its operators were issued a prototype version of the EFS, which negated the mobility issues that plagued super-heavy ATGs of late WW2. Its coilgun, powered by a small LFTR, could send a 12mm x 300mm tungsten slug to velocities past 12 kilometers per second.

But it was too good to be true. The HASF found out before long that a lowly grunt with a laser pointer and another one with a laser-guided projectile could knock out the million-dollar gun on a dime as soon as the gun was spotted. Plus,…

M47 Reid

The HASF needed a new battle taxi. WW3 designs all had flaws: the M1037 was overpriced for a battle taxi, the BTR-120 was too wide and heavy to make it through narrow alleys and wooden bridges, and the CM-1 seemed to be made of cardboard. HASF reviewed these designs, considered the requirements of the mid 21st century, and turned out the M47.

Named after NAU General Seamus Reid of WW3, who called for civilians in the USA to help taxi Grenadiers to the front. He successfully outlasted the Russian invaders in Seattle, thanks to having twice as much manpower.

Dear Frederick, thank you for your nice letter. But I'm actually a US Marine who was born to kill, where you have clearly mistaken me for some sort of wine sipping communist dick suck. Skolopendra-class

Leo climbed the tilting deck and managed to grab the port sail. He started clambering sideways toward the helm, but when he saw the monster surface, he forgot how to move.

The thing was the length of their ship. In the moolight, it looked like a cross between a giant shrimp and a cockroach, with a pink chitinous shell, a flat crayfish tail, and millipede-type legs undulating hypnotically as the monster scraped against the hull of the Argo II.

It's head surfaced last- the slimy pink face of an enormous catfish with glassy dead eyes, a gaping toothless maw, and a forest of tentacles sprouting from each nostril, making the bushiest nose beard Leo had ever had the displeasure to behold.

On one side of the spears, the dolphin warriors parted to let someone through. He appeared to be fully human, but from the way the dolphins fell back before him ,he was clearly the leader. He ws dressed in Greek combat armor- sandals, kilt, and greaves, a breastplate decorated with elaborate sea monster designs- and everything he wore was gold. Anaklusmos-class

Riptide, in Greek.

The FCI realized that if they used conventional landers, their forces would be highly unlikely to survive the sea. Meaning, they won't be murdered on the beach- they would be at the bottom of the drain before they could get murdered.

Kampe

On the second floor balcony, across the courtyard, was a monster more horrible than anything I'd ever seen.

It was sort of like a centaur, with a woman's body from the waist up. But instead of a horse's lower body, it had the body of a dragon- at least twenty feet long, black and scaly with enormous claws and a barbed tail. Here legs looked like they were tangled in vines, but then I realized they were sprouting snakes, hundreds of vipers darting around, constantly looking for something to bite. The woman's hair was also made of snakes, like Medusa. Wierdest of all, around ger waist, where the woman part met the dragon part, her skin bubbled and morphed, occasionally producing the heads of animals- a vicious wolf, a bear, a lion, as if she …

Gorgon

She was still wearing her green Bargain Mart employee vest over a flow-print dress. If you looked at just her body, you might think she was somebody's dumpy old grandmother- until you looked down and realized she had rooster feet. Or you looked up and saw bronze boar tusks sticking out the corners of her mouth. Her eyes glowed bright red, and her hair was a writhing nest of bright green snakes. (…) The gorgons had taken off their green vests. Wings sprouted from their backs- small bat wings, which glinted like brass.

Since when did they have wings? Maybe they were ornamental. Maybe they were too small to get a gorgon into the air. Then the two sisters leaped off the apartment building and soared toward him.

Great. Just great.

Aethiopian Dragon

The FCI needed a large fleet of light fighters to provide the raw power to overcome superpower air forces. It also needed to double as a strike fighter.

The MiG-29 was in too few numbers- 'just' 2000. Plus, the South Americans had taken all of them in and upgraded them to the MiG-35 standard. So, the FCI had to look for another: and the F-16 was the perfect answer. Although miss-matched in the A,B,C,D,E,F,I and V variants, with a little upgrading and polishing, the FCI could potentially field 4,500 benchmark-grade 4+ generation fighters. How much better can it get?

The Harpy has no armor to speak of. It does have a lowly outfit of ten flares and ten chaff bundles.

The Harpy operates off of two 3.0 liter X-4 engines. They power two counter-rotating two-blade rotors that lift the Harpy off the ground. It can fly for 2 hours before it runs out of fuel.
